Job Description
Fox Energy Specialists is hiring highly motivated HERS/IECC Certified Building Energy Inspectors to help service our Greater Austin and San Antonio Area field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Performing energy efficiency inspections, blower door, duct blower testing of homes and/or buildings according to the program requirements.
- Collecting and reporting all required inspection data.
- Inspecting buildings and structures during construction, repair, and/or alteration to ensure compliance with the energy program guidelines, as well as, adherence to specifications and plans.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Ability to follow directions and read blueprints and diagrams
- Ability to train and work with testing equipment
- Skills in web-based computer programs and handheld devices.
- Knowledge of industrial math, business English and general office skills.
- Working knowledge of job safety
- High standard of integrity and professionalism and be self-motivated
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screening
- Must be open to occasional travel and working overtime
